Terms of Use
1. About Send My CV
Send My CV is operated by Msizi Omkhulu (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/340668/07), of 112 North Road, Sandton, Gauteng, 2196. These Terms govern your use of the website and the CV service on it.
2. Who may use the service
The service is for people aged 16 and over who are looking for work in South Africa. You need a working email address to create an account, though you can build a CV without one.
3. What the service does
Send My CV provides two services, and only these two:
- Building and editing a CV. You answer questions about yourself, we produce a one-page PDF CV, and you can return and change it whenever you like. You may also join your own documents behind it (clause 16).
- Finding a job. We show job listings gathered from public sources and link you to the employer’s own application page (clause 14).
Both are free. We are not an employment agency, we do not apply for jobs on your behalf, we do not receive applications, and we do not act for employers.
4. Your content
What you type stays yours. You give us permission to store it and use it to produce your CV and to show it back to you. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter — a CV is a representation you make to an employer.
5. Our intellectual property
The website, the CV designs and the wording of the service are ours. You may use your finished CV however you like, including commercially; you may not copy the designs or the site itself.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the service to impersonate anyone else, to put false information on a CV, to attack or overload the site, or to collect other people’s information.
7. Privacy and data protection
How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Service availability
We try to keep the site available but we do not promise it always will be. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we may take the site down for maintenance.
9. No guarantee of employment
We do not promise that using Send My CV will get you a job, an interview, or a reply. We have no control over who employers hire.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose beyond producing a CV from what you enter.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost job opportunities or lost earnings, arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act.
12. Indemnity
You indemnify us against claims arising from information you supplied that turns out to be untrue, or from your misuse of the service.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms. You may delete your CV and your account at any time from the menu inside your CV.
14. Job Listings Service
We show job listings gathered from public sources, for discovery only. We are not the employer, we do not accept applications, and we never charge for a listing or for applying.
When you tap a job you leave this website and continue on the employer’s own application page, under their terms and their privacy policy. We record that a listing was tapped — not who tapped it — so that we know which listings are useful.
15. Building and editing your CV online
You can build a CV without an account; nothing is saved and closing the page loses it. Creating a free account stores your CV so you can return and edit it. We may use automated tools to improve the wording you write, and you can accept or reject those suggestions.
16. Joining your own documents to your CV
You can join documents of your own — certificates, an ID copy, a licence — behind your CV to make a single PDF. The joining happens in your browser, on your own device. The files are never uploaded to us, we never receive them, and we keep no record of them.
Because we never see them, you alone are responsible for what goes into the pack and for who you send it to. Only include an identity document when an employer has genuinely asked for one.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The version and date at the top say which version applies.
18. Severability
If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
19. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
