3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to:
- Generate and deliver your professional CV as a PDF via WhatsApp
- Store your CV securely in our database
- Display your CV on our jobs website only if you have given explicit consent
- Allow employers to search for suitable candidates (consent required)
4. Legal Basis for Processing (POPIA)
We process your personal information on the following grounds under POPIA:
- Consent — you voluntarily provide your information to create a CV
- Legitimate purpose — to deliver the CV service you requested
- Explicit consent — required before your CV is displayed publicly on our jobs board
5. Your Consent Choices
At the end of the CV creation process, we ask whether you consent to having your CV displayed on our jobs website so employers can find you. You may choose:
- Yes — your CV will be visible to employers on our jobs board
- No — your CV is stored privately and will not be shared with employers

6. How We Store Your Information
Your CV data is stored securely in an encrypted database (Supabase) hosted in the European Union. PDF copies of your CV are stored in private, access-controlled cloud storage. We do not store your CV on WhatsApp's servers — the PDF is delivered to you directly and then removed from WhatsApp's temporary storage.
7. Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only in the following cases:
- Employers — only if you have given explicit consent for your CV to be listed publicly
- Service providers — infrastructure providers (Supabase, Meta/WhatsApp) who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements
- Legal obligation — if required by South African law or a court order
8. Your Rights Under POPIA
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Withdraw consent for your CV to be displayed publicly
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at www.justice.gov.za/inforeg

9. Data Retention
We retain your CV data for as long as you wish to use our service. If you have not interacted with the service for 24 months, your data may be deleted. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
10. Children
Our service is intended for persons 16 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
